Stratford Youth Theatre are thrilled to present the first ever stage adaptation of ‘The Spiderwick Chronicles’ at The Bear Pit Theatre.

 

Based on the international best selling and much loved children’s books by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, The Spiderwick Chronicles shares the fantastical adventures of the Grace children—Jared, Simon, and their older sister Mallory.

Our story follows the children as they move to the mysterious Spiderwick estate and stumble on a field guide to faeries, this leads to encounters with various magical creature such as goblins, powerful ogres, brownies, boggarts, hobgoblins, and elves.

From the team that brought you ‘The Clopton Ghosts’, ‘The Snow Queen’ and ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’, The Spiderwick Chronicles is an epic adventure you won’t want to miss!

 

The Spiderwick Chronicles was also made into a film in 2008 and is about to be launched as a T.V series in 2024

Tony DiTerlizzi

New York Times bestselling author and illustrator, Tony DiTerlizzi, has been creating children’s books for twenty years. Her books have been translated into 32 languages worldwide and adapted for film. She currently lives in New England with her husband and son in a house with a secret library.
