As workshop leaders we work the group extremely hard, asking high standards of both performance and commitment within the sessions.

The workshops will explore the use of physical theatre, improvisation and mime to tell our stories in a more creative way. We will be looking at scripts, voice work, exploring character motivation and development, and there will be an opportunity to learn stage combat.

The Drama Club would compliment students studying GCSEs in Drama and we would be more than happy to assist with any audition speeches/readings students need to work on.

You can choose to do an Arts Award

Stratford Youth theatre is offering a unique opportunity for young people between the ages of 12 and 19 to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. Find out what inspires you, share your talents, and you'll walk away with an award that makes a real difference in the world of work and the arts.

To achieve Bronze, a Level 1 national qualification, young people take part in an arts activity they enjoy, go to an arts event, research their arts inspiration and share their skills with others.

Young people need to plan their work with an adviser, and keep a record by creating their own Arts Award portfolio. Their portfolio might be a folder, sketchbook, video diary or a website – it's up to them.

To achieve Silver, Level 2 (QCF credit value 10) students will begin to take on leadership roles, they will help plan, create and deliver a project. They will also research arts events and arts career pathways.
